Job Description:
We're recruiting for Certified Medical Coders (CPC or CCS), Billers & Collectors for a client in Wayne, NJ. These are full-time, direct hire opportunities. Coders with outpatient, surgical and OBGYN experience are highly sought. Billers with collections experience are being sought as well. Positions are located in Wayne, NJ.
Position Overview:
Certified Professional Coders are responsible for the daily coding of assigned encounters and/or ensuring that client coding is accurate and compliant. They review client charts and medical records, and identify appropriate diagnosis and procedure (ICD-9/CPT-4/HCPCS) codes for revenue cycle initiatives. Qualified candidates must have current working knowledge of both in and out patient coding practices
Requirements:
If applying for a Coder positiong - Must be a Certified Coder: CCS or CPC
At least 1 - 2 years Medical Coding experience
Must be within daily commuting distance of Wayne, NJ
Strong analytical skills, excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential.
Past hospital/physician office experience is a plus
Must be capable of producing detailed, comprehensive documentation and reports.
