Our client in Media, PA is seeking a Medical Biller & Collector to work their billing and accounts receivable for their Internal Medicine practice. Position is full-time and temp-to-hire. They want someone looking for true long term!
Candidates must have at least 5 years experience performing Medical Billing/Collecting, an impeccable work history showing long tenure at previous positions, and very knowledgeable working with medicaid and insurance companies to get claims paid. You must have a very strong background in successful collections for a variety of outpatient, in-patient services and working directly with insurance companies.
Job Description:
This position is primarily responsible for claims submission and all account follow-up necessary to receive the expected reimbursement from all payer sources, through routine review of outstanding accounts.
Job Tasks:
§ Manual and electronic claims submissions to all payer sources
§ Claims corrections and resubmissions
§ Weekly review and correction of suspended claims
§ Account adjustments/contractuals upon claim submission
§ Review and documentation of all correspondence and actions
§ Insurance appeals to resolve outstanding payment/collection issues
§ Timely follow-up of outstanding accounts
§ Regular review of aged trial balance
§ Completion of daily production report
§ Other duties as assigned
Candidate Requirements:
· At least 5 years experience medical billing & collecting
· Able to start immediately if selected
· Record of progressive and reliable work history
