This course is designed to get beginning Web developers up and running as quickly as possible in an easy-to-use format. Novice developers will quickly learn to create interactive Web pages using the most popular Web scripting language.
Some topics include: statements and comments; variables, operators, and comparisons; if…then statements; pop-up boxes; events and try…catch; objects, strings, arrays, and Booleans; cookies, validation, and timing.
Prerequisites: Students must have some basic knowledge of programming. They should be able to create web pages using XHTML code. They should also be proficient in using web browsers such as Internet Explorer and Mozilla Firefox.
