The vast majority of users utilize the Korn Shell or some variant of the Bourne Shell, such as bash. This course covers both of these shells. It begins with a generalized tutorial of Unix and tools and then moves into detailed coverage of shell programming.
Fundamentals of UNIX - 4 days
This 4-day hands-on course provides users with the knowledge and skills needed to effectively use UNIX™. In this course, students will learn about the full range of UNIX user commands and utilities and how to develop shell scripts and advance their vi editing skills. This is also a first course for system administrators and programmers who are new to UNIX and Linux.
UNIX System Administration - 4 days
This 4-day course introduces Linux™ and UNIX™ users to the tasks needed to administer their own system.
