Blair County is a county located in the U.S. state of Pennsylvania. It is part of the Altoona, Pennsylvania Metropolitan Statistical Area. As of 2000, the population was 129,144. It was created on February 26, 1846, from parts of Huntingdon and Bedford Counties. Its county seat is Hollidaysburg. Altoona is a city in Blair County, Pennsylvania, United States. It is the principal city of the Altoona, PA Metropolitan Statistical Area. The population was 49,523 at the 2000 census. The Altoona MSA includes all of Blair County and had an estimated population of 125,527 in 2007, according to the U.S. Census.
