Microsoft Excel is a course that is taught to enhance the basic skills of using Excel. This is a course that has several benefits for those who are working in offices of various types or those who are doing work from home. Live online courses as well as classroom courses are offered. There are situations offered that reflect the daily experiences of using Microsoft Excel.
PivotTables are explored as there are different ways to enter data into a computer system. Students will learn about how to summarize data before presenting it in a thoughtful manner. Another component of the course is teaching students how to work with large worksheets and workbooks. Special number formats and advanced formatting for documents are topics that are discussed. While taking the course, students will learn how to create outlines and how to create cells. Students will learn of how to name each cell and how to enter the information into each cell. There are basic and advanced classes through the course, and there is information that relates to the various programs of Excel, such as 2007 and 2010. Each class gives some of the differences between the programs and some of the things that are the same but that might have moved to a different area of the program.
